Jerseylicious

While the boys are away the girls will play. Pie and I watch this reality show called Jerseylicious it is based in a hair salon with LOTS of drama...

So we thought we would give the big hair a try. Still need to practice but I think they look beautilicious!

M&M looks like she has extensions...we added about 3ins straightening it.

She likes the look I just need to practice a bit more...

"No MattieMaelicious" is what she would say when we told her she looks juersylicious. My sweeties...I know this is silly stuff to blog about but this is my blessed low drama family...

Road Trip...

Just returned from a very relaxing time with my parents in MO...more highlights on the actual trip will be posted soon but am just quickly sharing this funny site.

I try to make the trip there and back relaxing for the kids and I but this time we were trying to get back to our IN stop in a more timely manner...BUT we just had to stop at this site after we read the intriguing sign.

Looks a bit cute and rugged from a distance...

but this sign kept us from sampling the food...there is also a sign on the wall that reads:

eat here

get gas

think they should use the word fuel would be a better pun; not that they ment it as a pun ;)

Digging for Treasures

Look what I found is what this picture is saying. Not sure why but Bug decided to dig just a little deeper where we are putting our garden but cool; so glad he did. We got on the Internet trying to place the bottles. We found a Kemp medicine bottle, singer sewing machine oil, the big brown one is a beer bottle Kolb out of Bay city in late 1800-the early 1930's, and a couple more were not to sure about. From what I read the Kolb company folded because of the prohibition. Anyway it is just fun to learn and find buried treasure.

Half Full

My day

Slept on the couch last night = Didn't need to wear my glasses to see the nice screen in the living room to watch a movie after the kids went to bed! Lucas peed on the living room rug = Oh yeah, I only paid $21.00 for a rug at full price was over $200.00 Washing all the wood floors today = The love my husband put into the floors to make them the beautiful color I wanted Mattie peed on the the bathroom floor that I just cleaned 20 min. ago = At least it was in the bathroom she had the right room just not fast enough.

Took 3hrs to wash floors that should take 40min. = read a book over and over to M&M and watched and danced to the potty video, and took a break or two.

Read a book to M&M over and over = Very soon these days will pass and she will be reading books by herself in her room.

Its raining out so I can not get anything done out in the yard = ITS RAINING OUT :)

M&M telling me over and over "Its raining outside" = she talks well which makes communication with her easier.

There are books all over the dining table = my children can read and read well, except for M&M (but don't tell her I said that)

I didn't have time to wash the kitchen or back porch floors = Ham is in the oven and I have some quiet time in Prayer and the Word while M&M is up in her bed.

20 minutes before picking up Bug I feel exhausted must close my eyes = Ham is in the oven

Troy has to go into work early = Praising God for his great job we have been on the other side and its....Just Praising God!

I have no fruit for Troys lunch and we are out of milk = I have a car and it has gas in it.

M&M did not eat very much dinner = I picked her up some oatmeal at the store and she ate 3 bowls.

Bug is at ball practice and Troy needs to go to work early = one of the great coaches is going to give him a ride home.

I am having kind of a blah day...no reason just seem extra tired. Maybe its the rain? But this was pretty much my day til about 7pm and I LOVE MY FAMILY!

Izard of Boz

So you ask what is keeping her attention?

Why its the Izard of Boz. This little girl will sit and watch this movie from start to finish without loosing any interest. It's so funny but very helpful in the early morning while I am getting the other two ready for school. She knows all the main charters and can even imitate some. She really likes the lion and she calls Dorthy sissy.

Lazy Summer Day

Pie was a little bored today so she dressed up M&M in Shrek clothes form the Build a Bear. This reminded me of how my sister would dress up the cat and push it in a baby carriage. What a good sport M&M was and what a giggle Pie received form this. Love my two silly girls!

Its A Good Day

I am just taking a moment to share my day. I got up fairly early 5:45 to pick up Brianna. Came home and gave M&M a bath, because her mother did not change her before we left and her diaper was so wet it soaked through her snow suit. Woke the other two and did stuff for them to prepare their day. Jumped in the shower, not part of my normal routine but I had to be at the school today. Took the kids to school and M&M out to Grandma and Bumpa's. Went back to school to help the kids in L's class make no bake cookies. This was to help them better understand fractions. But watching the kids make the cookies totally grossed me out, all those hands yuck, yuck ,yuck, but they really had fun. Then I went to pick up M&M and I am very grateful that they watched her, they are such a blessing to me. Drove around to Great Aunt Becky's to drop a costume off, Shhhhh I think they were sleeping. Which worked out good because M&M was sleeping too after all the playing with Grandma. Now I am home and eating. I have many more things to do today but I love days like these. My house is a mess. I have a big chicken costume on the dinning table. The kitchen table is in the living room with a puzzle we started when the electric was out, and the diapers from the basket are all over the floor because M&M likes to drop them then say UH OH, its very cute. Its just pain(plain) messy. I am SO very thankful that my God loves me so much that he gave me a husband that tries to understand and provide for me what is my dream life. Times a tough here, one example I am drinking Faygo Cola, but it is so nice to just be a Mom and Wife.

Learning Lessons

These are paint sample cards from Home Depot and we use them for learning our colors. I thought these were very cute and I was looking for color flash cards but could not find any without a lot of other distracting things on them. I just wanted plain color cards. Well I found these in the store and they are working great. There are many to choose from so they make a great memory game, just grab two of each color. I don't have to worry about them getting bent or destroyed because they were free and easily replaced, though I do encourage that we don't eat them. We have also used them while watching signing times, M&M likes these videos which are free to rent at the library.
