Blossoming Fruit Tress.

My Goodness our fruit trees, apple and peach, look just amazing right now.  Wish I know how to take better care of them but its a learning process.

She made these herself!  She even bought her own pattern for the top one for a dollar at JoAnn's.  Its so fun when we catch the sale for $1. patterns.  Well we are planing on putting up a stand at a craft show in a couple of months and she is very excited to be making these and hoping to make some money too.

Today was a great day...Snow Day for us.  I really enjoy the days where the whole family is home safe and just being lazy.  Growning up I always imagined a family like this and with a lot of hard work and the Grace of God...

Bluebirds

So how do I spend some of my time?

Trying to get a good shot of the Bluebirds that hang out in our crab apple tree. This tree usually drives me nuts except in the middle of winter and very early spring. Right now in the middle of winter the birds come for food and to just hang out and in early spring the flowers are just gorgeous. It drives me nuts cause it is so thick you can barely see my house and it grows super fast. Every year we trim a good three feet from the bottom branches. Have you ever walked into a crab apple tree branch? Well they are not forgiving and when they poke you in the head they leave marks. So when I have had about all I can take my husband reminds me of all the birds I will see in the winter...

Lake Michigan camping was Awesome...Time spent with two of my favorite mom's and their babies Awesome. We enjoyed hiking, swimming, campfire cooking, eating, roller blading, bike riding, beach laying(M&M was a bit curious as to why everyone on the beach was sleeping?), sunset watching, lighthouse climbing, ice cream eating.

Total good time can't wait til I can do it again!

Look it's a grub...cute huh, well M&M is anyway! This little girly is not afraid of any type of creature. We recently went to a pet parade down town and she was just loving on all the animals...kissing and hugging totally her heaven on earth.

Can't wait to compare this to her prom photo some day.

This Is Us

Today was a beautiful day. After church where we were blessed to hear the Word of God taught honestly and chatted with some good friends. Pie made us some lunch grilled cheese with bacon Yum O. Troy smelled the bacon so he was up and joined us for lunch. M&M and Troy then went to take a nap. Bug and I went for a bike ride which was quite windy and of course my 12yr old called me a wimp if I could not make it to the 2 mile marker...so I made it! The ride back was way easier and much more enjoyable. We then headed out into the yard for a little work. M&M never did fall asleep so she joined us to...Troy was called off for the first 4 hours of the shift, he was signed to work 12. So he joined Pie in washing the car. She didn't quite realize how dirty my car was. Troy is so good at teaching the kids and not loosing his temper with them, something I struggle with. This is the spot Bug and I are going to plant our garden. Not a very big spot but it's a start for us city folks.

We do not have a tiller and Bug did most of the clearing himself. He is a very hard worker he is going to make a great employee some day.

Our M&M keeping herself busy by chasing Lucas around and keeping us all busy when she let him out of the fence TWICE. Like the Ladies who taught her Sunday school class today said "she's such a cute stinker".

This are becoming my favorite flower! Its one of the first signs that the warm weather is near!

I have been out enjoying the weather these last couple of days transplanting a TON of bulbs!

I really enjoy being outside in the garden. I'm am still learning a every year mostly on what are weeds and flowers. I also like to take pictures of the flowers. My garden brings me much joy and I feel so blessed to be living in this 100+ year old home where most of the garden was already in place, all I have to do is take care of it.

Cousins!

Some of my most favorite memories as a small child was with my two cousins. who were boys. We played all kinds of games, my favorite was colored eggs, fought some and laughed a lot. Our mothers were sisters so when they would go out shopping or something we stayed at their house. In my memory my uncle was always on midnights and we seemed to wake him up every time. He didn't usually say much, didn't really need to, just gave us a look. Love him! I don't think we spent a whole lot of time together when we were young but the memories were good!Cousins Kevin and Max

On this day Max was showing Kevin and M&M the lay of the land. Max has a dream life for a 3yr old! His tractor to ride in to visit cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and a big wide open field to get lost in his day dreams. His mother loves providing this life for him too since it all belongs to the neighbor and she has none of the work, her words!

Keep the Baby Busy

I planted a small veggie garden in the back but in order to get some work done I had to keep the baby busy. So I told her she could pick all the yellow flowers in the grass. Unfortunately there were plenty to keep her busy.
