"PITY THE PAIN THAT MESSES WITH ME"

just dawned on me why he was asking about Mr. T on the way out of the hospital ;) This is the message he texted T-Man to let him know he was O.K.

He is so tough! He sprained his finger, which was pointing in the wrong direction at a 45deg angle, during dodge ball at Church on Wed. and didn't think to mention it to a leader. He never took any pain meds. at all. When asked to rate the pain by the nurse he gave it a 5...later he told me that he was "comparing it to say someone who had lost an arm or something...He figured his pain was not so bad".

He may not look like his Grandpa Hale but seems to have inherited his High Tolerance for Pain gene

It was only sprained, Thanks to God cause he is in the process of baseball tryouts, but it looked pretty bad. As of today it is still swollen and and he is sleeping like a baby on the couch and its 5:30pm

Brain Stopped Working

Its been a rough one for me today...and right now I feel exhausted.  Started out with our Dog peeing in my bed and went from there.

  So about 6pm today I had carried all my clean laundry up to my room and put it on my bed and M&M thought it would be funny to push it on the floor. Well it was in her way cause she wanted to watch a movie in my room.  So we had a little talk that I expect more from her now that she is getting older and that she needs to make better decisions...blaa, blaa blaa was apparently what she herd.  Well I left the room with about two thirds put away and when I came back into the room those cloths were on the floor.
  Oh the thought of bending over and picking them up just pushed me over the edge. 
So needless to say M&M was in trouble.  As she is helping me pick the clothes up she is crying "I'M Tired" and my response is "Well I'm Tired too from picking up all your messes." 

When I returned to the room five minutes later the above photo is what I found.  May of been just a bit rough on the girl cause we all know the feeling of being so tired that our brains just stops working and its hard to make good decisions...right.

Tourist In Our Town

Once a year our town has the "Be a Tourist in Your Town" where a lot of the business open their doors and you get to experience them at a discounted/free price!

So this year we went to the "Circle" and experienced a bunch of free food samples from some local restaurant's. Kinda like a super mini Taste of Chicago without the tickets and super high prices and no city sky line or fountain.

Their was face painting!! Always enjoyable and exciting!

There was a cute little petting zoo and a bounce house/merry-go-round. We also watched some Tae Kwon Do and it was fun to see some of our friends showing off their talents!

We then headed over to the Civic Arena for some ice skating...Lets just say it was fun, slippery and exhausting! On a side note...M&M and I had quite the crash, we are OK but I have a very low tolerance for pain and almost passed out. I must fight real hard, stayed focus on those cute little faces, to not just lay down and let it happen. I'm also thinking that if I was ever hurt really, really, really bad and my choice was to either fight or go see Jesus, I will probably choose Jesus.

We end our day trip with round of Miniature Golf. Good day indeed.

A cute side note: Bugs friend asked me while we were skating if we were going to Putt Putt next...I'm like ??? and look at Pie and she says: You know Golf....Ohhhh.

Tends to be a statement I often say to my children!

Especially when I walk into something like this. "I was just hiding in the clothes" M&M says in her cute cartoon voice.

Oh Yeah these are clean clothes!

Kinda, for a brief second, thought well maybe its my fault for not having them all folded and put away???

The reason I was late to Brickford Cottage was because of the contractor guy; I always end up chatting with these guys...I found out that is daughter worked for a local bank and is looking to transfer to our town and she just had foot surgery to correct her flat feet. He looked around our house and we got to talking about This Old House cause he has a house they are trying to redo...

Cant wait for tomorrow!!

I Do Believe In Fairies

So glad I have my little lovelies to distract me from the everyday...Of Needing a New Roof, Whats for dinner, I am tired, The house needs cleaned, laundry, bills, where is the money gonna come from, My husband works a lot, I am being lazy, yada, yada, yada...

Summer Days.

Love days like this...the ones that are creating memories without even trying! Bug is on the way to the park to meet up with a friend. It is the first time we are letting him go to this park by himself and for his friend too. They have out grown the neighborhood park and even just playing whiffle ball is getting dangerous for the surrounding homes.

And our spunky little M&M had just returned from a walk to the library. And if you think the miss match shoes and crazy curly messy hair should not be seen in public it is an improvement from just wearing her undies around the house all day.

Bug thought is was silly to take his picture for he wasn't doing anything to special but I disagree...Some of my sweetest memories are at my grandparents in the summer doing nothing special; the cicadas are making much noise you can hear a owl in the distance and we are just outside trying to figure out how to fill the day. We even live in a neighborhood that is very quiet and quaint. Maybe its cause I am an older mother that I find this sweet? Don't get me wrong they do enjoy there Ipods and WII and stuff but they also enjoy the same that I did as a kid too...bike rides, ball games, chalk, back yard pools, books, friends, lunch outside, walks, shade, gardens, porch swings and PEACE.

How I Came To Wear Purple Framed Glasses

That is the kind of day I am having...and I am really getting tired of it. That is the statement I made to my son in the store when I went to put on my glasses and they were broken.

It stared early when my little M&M was sleeping with me, because I was in the midst of putting the new bunk beds together, and she had wet the bed. Couple of hours latter found dog poop on the couch. About 20Min's later dropped my Bible study notes in the very, wet parking lot. Later putting M&M in the car her Wooie Woon hat blows off and goes under the car and Yes it is still raining. Its leaking inside the house so I go out and clean out the gutters, hoping that is the cause, and Yes it is still raining. M&M locks me out on the roof, that was a trip trying to get her to undo the lock, and Yes its still raining. Later we go Home Depot to get some wood and as we are loading it in M&M pees her pants, and Mama is not to happy cause Yes it is still raining. While Bug is loading the wood I figure it would be easier if he finished pulling up M&M pants and I would finish with the wood. Well he thought I had not started so he took her clothes back off so I finish putting the clothes back on.

Go into a store and put my glasses on and they fall off sideways...

I am very thank full for this little purple framed kiss from God...the replacement was free for my frames were deemed defective but purple was all they had in stock.

Today we lost our family cat Socko. He has been in our family for about 10years. He was a very fat, lazy, bed hogging, undemanding, calm, cozy, and lovable friend. He and the Kids loved each other and will be missed!

Just Reward

This past week Bug and Pie were honored as the student of the week/month! Pie came home on Monday with the news and Bug on Friday! So T-Man surprised us with pizza after church today. Bug and I were all prepared to make taco's but that will just be for another day. I think it was a God thing that they won in the same week to show that they are both wonderful and not more loved or better than the other!

Side note some will understand. When Levi told me about it he thought that he didn't earn it on his own; he thought his Uncle Shawn had something to do with it. I assured him that Uncle Shawn is probably a little to busy to make this happen and that he received it on his own accord! But to be sure we did call and Uncle Shawn had no part in it.

Today was a beautiful day to be outside.

M&M with her Daddy. Lately she has been giving him a hard time; in a way only a 1yr old can! He requests her attention and she snubs him just to be ornery...

Well not today. She had a bunch of Love to show her Daddy! They are so cute.

Oops I Did It Again

I forgot I had promised to do something. I seem to be a bit of a scatter brain, yes me! I had told a dear friend I would watch her babies while she had a meeting, oops. Well this weekend was the big Hot Air Balloon Festival and to see all those is just beautiful to me. Friday morning the balloons were suppose to take off around 9:30 at, I thought, the Fair Grounds. So I dropped the two older ones off at school and me and M&M were off to see some Big Balloons! When we got to the fair grounds there were no balloons so I waited awhile and they never showed up. So on the way home I decided to stop at the park so M&M could run around a bit and it sounded fun! We were not there to long when something came up and I had to get home and when I arrived there were two little dollies waiting for me. Thanks to my husband being home the momma was able to attend her appointment and I showed up to relieve my man! I am trying to get more organized its just so hard!

Anyway I did get a couple of good pictures at the park!

Elementary Track Meet

Today was the big elementary school track meet for the 4th and 5th grades. There were at least 10 schools altogether, shew! Both Pie and Bug participated this year and it was a lot of fun. The kids look forward to this all year and it is a very big deal.

Some besties, they are waiting their turn for the re-lay race. This is the last year they will all be in the same school. :(. Pie as she landed her long jump. We were so excited that she wanted to play, and she did great! Just had to post this! He is waiting for his turn at the high jump. Giving it his all! Way to GO !

Happy Valentine's

The day started out with breakfast in bed for me made by me beautiful daughter. She fixed apple toaster strudels and heart shaped toast with a glass of COKE, she knows my heart. The kids awoke with hearts hanging from the ceiling that I had written some Bible verses and some admiring qualities they have on them. They both really liked the surprise and their was no money spent and just a little time!

Later during the day I took both girls and a friend to Barnes and Noble for an American Girl outing and then to lunch in the mall. They also played in the kids area in the mall and it was nice to see Pie and her friend play and take care of M&M. Troy spent a lot of the day out at Shawn's helping him with his cabinet's then came home with a Valentine and some treats for me. Bug ended up going to a friends for most of the evening to watch a movie and just hang out. Bug and Pie are making such good choices for friends, Praise to God, and Bug's friend may start attending our Church.

All in all we had a nice week! But now it back to organizing, organizing, organizing.

One of Those Days!

You ever had one of those days, just very ordinary with a few highlights? We were up as usual dropped the kids off at school and came back home to get M&M and went to the community center. We signed in and headed for the locker room and as I turned the corner bent over right in front of us it this woman with her rear facing me. It looked as though she was cleaning lint from her toes...that is how exposed her bottom was to us. I think I even said Whoa as I turned and went round to the other side. I am not one who changes in front of every one but if I did I would at least have the decency to bend at the knees or at least face my rear towards the lockers. I don't know who she was or what her face looks like but that image has been with me all day. After that we went to Barnes and Noble for story hour. While we were waiting one of the mom's informs me that the police are going to get rid of the crossing guards next year, I must of made a face because she asked me if I was not pleased to hear this, I just told her where are kids cross and left it at that. We left the book reading early because M&M does not quite get the sit and be quiet part. We walked around the mall for awhile and I thought I would treat us to some Taco Bell and then realized I had forgotten my wallet in the car. So as we were leaving I let M&M walk, we came in though Barnes and Noble, and as she passed the shoe store she did the hand sign for shoe. What a wonderful reward for me to know she is learning and understanding. Once home I put M&M down for a nap and just putzed around the house waiting to go and get the kids from school. So I left my nice warm home to get them and while sitting there in the car I was wondering what was taking so long. It then dawned on me that they have the book club today and that their friend was bringing them home. So I had left my nice warm home to pick up my kids who weren't even waiting on me. While waiting on the kids to get home I finished making dinner, crock pot roast with mashed potatoes, and M&M was helping out by reading her Potty book which has those musical buttons. I like these books, because it helps me keep track of her when I am busy with something else. Yet when I turned around today there she was standing with a Oreo in her hand just a grinning, I was so amazed at how fast and resourceful she was. Too Cute. I really didn't mind because I know her and I know it would not ruin her dinner appetite! The rest was smooth T-man had to go to work early, which mad us sad that he left but glad that he still has a job. We just ate, read, played a board game and hung out. I know a pretty dull day, but a good day.
