Yep I'm 40

40 Things about me...Warning this may get to personal not sure what I'll come up with and I kinda....ummm I don't know? 1. Tulips are my very favorite 2. I have rough hands from many years of hard work but not in the last 10... I gained a lot of knowledge from those years which helped me to be very successful in a tough mans working world. 3. I really like to sew it makes me feel like I accomplished something...when I ever finish that is 4. I don't care if your house is clean, hands are manicured if your purse is designer...but I will notice if you have a compassionate smile. 5. Oh here is a good one not many know...There is a reason Bugs name is what it is...Many of you know that I was pregnant before marriage (those that don't...well...its true) and that was way out of charter for me (makes me think of #6) well anyway just as Mathew was a miracle in disguise I knew my baby was too! 6. If I wasn't married by 30 my sisters and I knew I just had to adopt. 7. I morn for my Mom even though she is still of this world. 8. I am CONTENT I have seen ugly and I know it doesn't get much better than what I have now! 9 I am about 25 lbs heavier than when I got married. 10. When Uncle Al asked me what Troy was like I said he is nice very nice. Nice is very, very important to me and He knows that. 11. Cooking is not my favorite and making the grocery list is a huge stress for me. 12.I am having a strange day I just started crying and now have stopped. 13. I MISS my Aunt Jan 14. I have laundry that I should be folding instead of this! 15. I love solving our family history and hunting for members 16. Believe in Miracles 17. Oh yes...I do believe in Jesus as the son of God 18. I have lived the first half of my life as a survivor the second half I hope will be different. 19. I don't remember very many details of my child hood after 1st grade. I think I trained myself to be that way but now it is a frustration of mine. 20. So thankful that my Dad was able to show me a different Way of life. 21. I am not a good friend...I don't mind being home and by myself so I tend to not be very attentive to friendships...I really would like to change that about myself. 22. I love to take pictures I think its because I have so much trouble recalling events by memory. 23. I love being a Mom...not quite as good at it as I like but I will never stop trying. 24. I do suffer from migraines...but not as many since being married. 25. I love my Husband 26. Family Drama scares me. 27. I love my Dad and Mom (Nancy) 28. I love my In-Loves (laws) every single one of them. 29. My Children are the, and I mean the Best. 30. I decorate my home with photographs... 31. I think turning 40 is going to suck! 32. Really don't care for the fact that Troy is 3yrs younger than me. ugh. 33. I am so glad that my husband understands how important it is that I stay home and not work outside the home 34. When I do work outside the home I am a total scatter brain, frustrated, and I always and mean always put work first. 35. I think it sucks that my husband works the shift he does...not really a complaint...just saying 36. I know God had me work that same shift for many years so that I would be considerate. I tend to have the Buck It up mentality. 37. and of course I love to be out side working...In the flowers, cutting down trees...whatever. Would love to someday have a job where I go to (and this is just how I fantasize it)a little old ladies home and work in her flower gardens... You know the ones where they have been working on them for 40+ years and just can't seem to reach them any more. 38. When I was a kid I was told "you are ugly A$$ skinny" (my mom just giggled) and when I was going to IU in Gary my car broke down once and when I asked for some thing for protection I was told your not the kind of girl guys go for...do you know how long it takes to get over talk like that? Well....I was just talking to Kathy the way we do and I said something along the line of "I was looking at some old pictures and I wasn't really all that ugly"...Kathy caught that statement we discussed it....Love talking to my sisters she gets it. (funny I was just saying how hard it is for me to remember) 39 I was once told "Don't say your not going to be like that when you grow up but tell yourself how your going to be when you grow up" 40. I love, love being at the beach...it makes me feel so peaceful. Not sure if this helps you to understand me or not but 40 statements came up fast...Maybe I do like to talk about myself.

AND I wish I could kick the SON OF A B**** in the B**** for saying those things to you when you were a girl... it does take a long time to work through mean things that people say to you... you are beautiful... you have a beautiful smile.. you are a good person and a great mom... nobody does everything right.. And i think you are one of the BEST things that has come into my son's life.. don't you forget that ... And the BEST daughter in law that two people could ask for.. you gave me Bug when I was 40... I loved reading that---maybe you not only wrote it for us to know you better, but when you see it in print, you understand yourself better.
Love the part about getting into old ladies flower gardens when they can`t do it themselves--I got a vision of you.

Happy Birthday Kim. Sharing is a great way to start of this next year. Knowing that everyone has a story and a history envokes compassion. I agree with #40, it feels like a glimpse of what heaven might feel like. Have an awesome birthday!
