Poor Me (please laugh at that)

Today I am washing my dishes by hand. I know poor me, right! I am out of dish washer soap. My kitchen is full of dishes and I know it would probably only take 20min to wash but I keep procrastinating. It is not like I have always had a dish washer or that I don't know hard work. Its just that a childhood thought keeps coming to mind. Once when I was probably in early high school. The man my mom is married to did not pay the utility bill and she was out of town working. Well we had to heat all our water for the dishes and baths with the propane tanks. Then carry it into the house. And by we I mean me and my two sisters. I have such a happy blessed life now but isn't it funny what comes to mind. I know many had it worse and still do. I think I am just being lazy.
Now back to my dishes.

you made me think about my childhood,
we had to do dishes in dish pans
one for washing, one for rinsing, when I was little. Then throw the water outside when we were done, but it was'nt because no one paid the electric bill, it was because we were poor and the house wasn't finished.WE were so excited when we finally got running water and a sink.

O.K. I have two things to say, both in love :) 1) I think it is important to remember your chains -that way we can appreciate how far we have come 2) I am so jealous(j/k) of your cool knobs on your sink and that awesome view out your kitchen window.

Thanks for sharing my friend :)
